Sky News host Alan Jones says there will be people who are happy to see the end of James Packer’s corporate career after it was ruled Packer and Crown casinos were not suitable to hold a casino license.
“There will be people dancing on James Packer’s corporate grave that Packer and Crown are not suitable persons to hold the Barangaroo license,” he said.
Mr Jones also said this had happened because Mr Packer had surrounded himself with people who “lacked the courage to identify problems” which led to him being deemed unsuitable to run the casino.
“James Packer’s ambition that this should be the jewel in the Crown, literally and metaphorically, has been trashed.”
