Items we bought and services I would recommend:
The build was by Atomic developments. Absolute pleasure to have in our house and they did an amazing job:) Contact: 0115 9334045
Herringbone wood floor throughout the entire downstairs shorturl.at/fiF47
I was thinking this could be a nice alternative to carpet on the stairs and upstairs but I'm not sure if that'd be cold?
We used Farrow and Ball in Cornforth White for the whole house shorturl.at/adqwJ
Wave curtains & Sofa reupholstering. They did an amazing job of transforming that very unusual shaped sofa and I just love my floor to ceiling curtains:) shorturl.at/euKR2

I can't decide on carpets? Any advice always appreciated:) I really love the textured wool designs. I typically love all the beige tones. Not the most sensible I know with 3 boys but they're beautiful:)
I love this one https://bit.ly/2Jyd9Rh
Or this one in chunky knots is gorgeous https://bit.ly/3n1BUUG
Hi everyone, I hope you've all had a great week:) Today I'm sharing our new minimalist house tour and the before and after getting to this point. It was messy that's for sure!
We tried to shop independent wherever possible and found some beautiful home decor brands along the way. And I was chuffed to find some really affordable yet stylish pieces on the High Street too. Hopefully proving you don't have to spend a fortune doing up your home, it's just a case of searching for the right pieces.
We reused, re-upholstered and even got handy with the spray paint doing up this house. Saving the pennies where possible and splurging on those items that I just couldn't resist! It's been exhausting but exhilarating, and I feel so lucky to finally have a house look just as we imagined:)
I really hope you enjoy watching the process of creating our new minimalist home and I'd love to hear your own renovation stories in the comments section below? Everyone who's been through it knows I'm sure, that volume of dust is insane!
Big hugs everyone, and thanks again for watching, Jess x

A little about Fashion and Style Edit
I launched fashion and style edit just over a year ago and it's been one amazing adventure ever since. I hoped to put all my years working in the fashion industry to good use. How to style outfits and advice and fashion tips on how to get the most out of your own capsule wardrobe. I love discovering new brands, designers and affordable high street fashion, but I always veer towards the more sustainable fashion and ethical brands. I try to buy well, I want my and your clothes to last as long as possible.
I love effortless, timeless style and share how I create that along the way. x
