Thanks for visiting my channel! This is my most popular tutorial, where I teach you how to hand knit a chunky blanket. Unfortunately the yarn I used in the video was discontinued, but I have linked some other great yarn options below. I hope you enjoy, and if you have any questions just comment on the video and I'll get back to you. Or you can message me on Instagram at @shescraftyandsheknowsit.
Please note that all wool yarn sheds.I have linked some NON-wool options below, however if you don't mind a little shedding, I'll put a link below to some wool yarns too!
(1). THIS IS THE YARN I RECOMMEND THE MOST - this is a non-shedding/non-wool yarn. (you'll need about 6-8 skeins to make a blanket like mine): https://www.jdoqocy.com/click-100212619-13492653?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.michaels.com%2Fbernat-blanket-big-yarn%2F10519836.html&cjsku=10519836
NOTE: You can watch me use this yarn to make a blanket here: https://youtu.be/VudsSPWR9Fs
(2). Here is another non-shedding/non-wool yarn (use the chart on this page to determine how much yarn you need): https://amzn.to/2rCVeR4
(3). This is the best wool option I can find (use the chart on this page to determine how much yarn you need): https://amzn.to/2PKkBZ3
ANSWERS TO POPULAR QUESTIONS:
- Unfortunately the yarn I used is sold out, but I linked some options above.
- I used a total of 216 yards, and my blanket ended up being 50x64" - BUT how much yarn you need will depend on how thick your yarn is and how big you want your blanket to be!
