Published at : 03 Jan 2021
This five-part video series aims to communicate effective strategies to anticipate and manage family conflict during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, many people find themselves socially distancing, working, or completing schooling from home with their partners, roommates, or families. As such, a lack of space and privacy can increase conflict for many households. Using the PEACE acronym - Plan, Express, Appraise, Collaborate and Energize - each video will walk you through how to utilize each strategy step-by-step. This series was produced by Concordia University’s Centre for Clinical Research in Health and graduate students from Concordia's clinical psychology program.
This video focuses on the last letter E, which stands for Energize. A key to doing well during these stressful times is understanding how to energize yourself. Learn to HALT and ask yourself if you are Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired.
